I’m Not the Only One

HELLO ALL

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR ALL THOSE ARE WERE PART OF THIS GUILD

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FOND MEMORIES
FOR THOSE WHO HAD FUN
AND FOR THOSE WHO TREASURE IT

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU COME BACK

gosh i dont even know why im so excited. its been a freaking five years (holy crap) since i joined this place. i cannot even imagine how i was like, so i dunno how much i changed. but this place still feels the same. it looks like there hasnt been much change. duh right, its already kinda dead.

anw i was lying in bed for an hour already, cant sleep. i went back to maple and was reflecting on how maple was just turned upside down. how easy it is to get to 120 or 150. and how everything was so expensive, or simply free. and how its now all about leveling and grinding. and leeching and swapping pcs and rushing stuff. no more of that stuff which defined maple and attracted people.

and then i started to recall this guild. which is why im here to write this essay and bitch like a girl (i predict its gonna be long becos im damn talkatve and theres so much to say) i must say i REALL REALLY miss this place super a lot. this place taught me a lot of things. this place made me a lot of friends. this place brought to me a lot of fun and memories.

but actually i just want to say hi to whoever comes back. kudos to you for visiting this forum!!! smile.gif hopefully one person replies lol, i dont really see anyone come back and the last topic was in feb. ouch. so um… HI XD

for me, its my A levels year this year (reminds me of xanz lmao) and i surprisingly dont not care so much. guess academics and grades and good education doesnt really appeal to me, im kind of weird. but lifes great and i really enjoy myself at school. im a very happy person now with a lot of stress coming up because of exams. sure its busy, since i tried to do some new stuff in school like some committees and class rep, but its really very interesting and a lot of fun.

if you do come back please give a short update on how life is like =D things are just so different now. oh yeah i also know some ppl are like still going out frequently because i see some stuff on facebook. if theres anything going on please tell me ok i will try my very best to make it because i really miss u guys and need to talk to you all again lol.

lastly, best of luck to everyone out there, our paths once met in the most ridiculous way (maplestory lmao) and now they part, hopefully sometime in the future we get to see each other again.

Post taken from BBG Forum.

Well, I’m so happy I’m not the only one who missed it. =D

Another thing is that I am currently planning to move this whole blog to WordPress.org with the folowing plan.

I’ll do it after exams. I should have time to do some code designing or any sort like that. =D

Why Am I Not Good Enough?

As some people would already know, I watch competitive Heroes of Newerth games via Honcast. Usually people who watches these games are professional gamers. But I’m slightly different. When you actually play with me, you will simply find me irritating or nice to play with. If I’m in your team, then you’ll most likely find me irritating. If I’m you’re opponent, then well, congratulations because you just got yourself a good game of free killings. I have the power to balance Nerf characters. I’m that bad. But I still have the interest to waste several hours of my life playing the game, watching others play and dream about the game. You can say that I eat, sleep and play Heroes of Neweth. But then people ask me,

Why are you not good at the game?

Some people would just put this rather too directly,

Shit, Richard! You’re a noob!

I take this quite well because I heard this phrase too many times already. Well, as much as I would love to improve in this game which I’m truly compassionate in, I somehow ‘suck’ at it. At this present moment, I have been playing HoN for about a year now, but I can safely say that I didn’t improve that much. Well, at least I’m better than my DotA days. =)

But still! I should be owning right?

So I decided to do a case study about this. There are several reasons which I can conclude why I fail in Heroes of Newerth.

  1. HoN is not my cup of tea.
  2. I always prefer an easier game than playing a harder on and learn from it.
  3. I never went for HoN tuition.
  4. I watch competitive games without taking down notes.
  5. I talk about HoN twenty-four hours a day.

As you can see, these are the reasons which pretty much limits me. And that’s not good. Well, do I interest to counter these limits. Not really… for I do not believe that HoN is not my cup or tea or that I should not enjoy every HoN game or pay so much money to attend classes or take out a piece of paper and jotting down tons of notes instead of enjoying a Hon replay.

It’s truly amazing to see professional gamers do their thing. Some of my friends can give me answers like,

There’s two sides of life. You can be smart and hardworking while sacrificing your social life and gaming life.

Put this in a simpler way, I can never play a good game since I am hardworking. *Not to praise myself of course*

Speaking of hardworking, I think THE RICHARD Facebook fan page just went too over board. Seriously. It’s like they keep saying,

OOo! Richard just did something! Update! Update!

These kinds of things should happen to stars and not some random Malaysian boy who’s trying his best to find a life. Haha. I just finished school. Yeah, kind of late right. It’s because our school have this policy that all Pre-University One students have to stay back till 4:45pm to do their Extended Essays. However, today was special for me. I opened Honcast.com and watch TEAM versus PYRO. Not to mention, I watched PYRO loss to TSoG yesterday in a match which I find it really good.

Yeah, I know… I’m suppose to do Extended Essay instead of wasting time right? Well, to protect myself, I pretty much done everything for extended essay except the fact that I have to quickly start the experiment. Problem is that I cannot find a Chromatic Meter to measure the chromatic of the flower. Who ever can find it please contact me. I’ll belanja (treat) you. =D *Parents included*

Moving on, Chen Hui joined me in watching the casting. Well, I actually thought that he would not watch the cast at all since he is an awful loyal player of DotA. But I just asked him since I believe that there’s always a chance for everything. Little did I know, he accepted it and grabbed a chair and watched the 44 minutes game with me. Mark was quietly doing his Extended Essay beside me, but I’m very sure that his watching the game beside me. *Right Mark? =D*

Chen Hui being like other guys asked me why am I still a noob even though I watch HoN replay…

Though I did learn a lot of things from him. About team fights, wards and some other stuffs which I presume he brings from DotA. It’s sad to see PYRO loose this game since they already loss yesterday. I must that my internet failed me today. Everytime when we are watching team fights, it lags… That is very disturbing Mr iPhone… or shall I say, Mr. SingTel. All the best bit of the game is lag and I always have to press pause to let the com buffer it for a bit.

Well, that lasted for a good 40 minutes until Mrs. Chew asked us why are we watching this when we should be doing EE. Which reminds me that I had a bad start this morning. Well, it’s not because it affect me in any way, but my form teacher had a fight with a boy in my class. *I shall not any names here for pride purposes*

This student said that he had a very sore back because of training. But then the teacher just wants him/her to sit up straight and read a book. The student refuse because it was painful. The teacher insist with his/her stand and said that he/she should produce a letter if the pain is very bad. Or go see a doctor. The student then rebut by saying that he/she is not seeing a doctor just because of a sore back. Then the teacher continued that if the pain is not so bad then he/she should just sit upright. The real bitch fight began when the student said rubbish.

In the end, both the teacher and student got caught out. Needless to say, the results are always the game in school.

Oh well, time for me to eat dinner before studying for business. =D

Not to mention, I got cereals and fresh milk to make my boarding like a whole lot more colourful! =D
